Session on Legal Drafting – SoL

The School of Law hosted an informative guest lecture on Legal Drafting by Mr. Rajendra Dangwal, Counsel at Trilegal. This event provided students with a comprehensive understanding of one of the most essential legal skills: clear and purposeful drafting.

Mr. Dangwal emphasized that effective drafting originates from clarity of thought rather than complex language. He outlined the structure of key legal documents, highlighted common drafting pitfalls, and explained how precise drafting can influence outcomes in both litigation and corporate practice.

Drawing from his professional experience, he shared practical examples that illustrated how well-crafted documents reduce ambiguity, protect client interests, and strengthen negotiations. An interactive Q&A session allowed students to gain actionable insights for enhancing their drafting skills and developing commercial awareness.

Overall, the lecture was a valuable learning opportunity, equipping future legal professionals with the practical tools and insights crucial to modern legal practice.
