IMS Unison University proudly hosted the inaugural ceremony of Ecolympics 2025, a month-long city-wide competition designed under Project YUWA (Youth United for Waste & Climate Action) by the Waste Warriors Society. The event was inaugurated with the blessings of Lord Ganesha and an e-flag off by our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Deans, and faculty members.
Ecolympics 2025 brings together student teams from across institutions to undertake graded pro-environmental tasks focusing on solid waste management, climate action, and sustainability. Teams perform daily and weekly challenges, submit proof of action, and are ranked on a real-time leaderboard, making the initiative competitive and engaging.
Throughout the month, students of IMS Unison University participated in hands-on activities, creative campaigns, and real-world problem-solving exercises, from awareness drives and poster-making to community interactions and skill-building sessions. The event not only tested innovation and teamwork but also emphasized the importance of sustainability, responsibility, and civic engagement.
The initiative builds on the impact of Ecolympics 2024, which engaged 1,400+ students across 51 institutions and schools, completing more than 4,500 climate-positive actions. IMS Unison University proudly secured the 2nd Position last year, further motivating students to scale their efforts in 2025.
With its strong focus on youth-driven climate action, Ecolympics 2025 inspires change, nurtures sustainable habits, and empowers young leaders to create a greener tomorrow.
